Technically, the film borrows from the hyper-kinetic, limb-breaking realism popularized by Indonesian films like The Raid (2011). However, Hebbuli adapts this style to Indian sensibilities, blending raw impact with the emotional beats of a family drama. Cinematographer Shekar Chandra uses claustrophobic close-ups during fights to convey desperation, while wide shots of Bengaluru’s underbelly evoke a noirish despair. The sound design, too, is exemplary: the crunch of bone and the metallic click of a reloaded pistol are as visceral as Basrur’s tribal-laced war cries.
