The mutants, who have been living in the mine for years, begin to stalk and attack the Morgan family. The family must fight for survival, using their wits and whatever they can find to fend off the mutants. As the night wears on, the family is picked off one by one, leaving Brenda and Jimmy to fend for themselves.
