This study examines the implementation of 60 frames per second (FPS) video recording via third-party camera applications (APKs) on Android devices. As mobile sensors become more capable, standard camera apps sometimes fall short of unlocking the full 60 FPS potential at high resolutions (4K). This paper evaluates apps like Blackmagic Camera and GCam mods in their capacity to utilize raw camera data, maintain 60 FPS, and manage electronic image stabilization (EIS) simultaneously. Key Findings:
At 60 FPS, the shutter stays open for a shorter time. This means videos recorded in low light will appear significantly darker than 30 FPS videos. Stability:
GCam mods are ported versions of the official Google Pixel camera app. They are famous for drastically improving photo quality and unlocking advanced video framerates.
: Specifically designed for high-end video filming, supporting up to 4K 60 FPS for easier post-production. Open Camera
